After 4 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for EL TACO NO!! The referee gave BOCA JUNIORS a penalty, 6 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Eusebio Gaztea, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of EL TACO NO!'s Alonzo Porfirio. 0-1. Carlos Fertus received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Baldomero Elizardo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 14th minute Dante Felipo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alonzo Porfirio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, EL TACO NO!'s Victor Gustau got a free kick in the 14th minute. When the match had gone on for 18 minutes, Nicolas Lehen took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Baldomero Elizardo to make any attempt to save it. Nicolas Lehen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Baldomero Elizardo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 26th minute Eusebio Gaztea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alonzo Porfirio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 28 minutes, Everardo Rocio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the BOCA JUNIORS and the EL TACO NO! players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to BOCA JUNIORS getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Everardo Rocio hit a great ball. After 29 played minutes, EL TACO NO!'s Maximo Gaueko shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Baldomero Elizardo came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in EL TACO NO! reached it. If Dante Felipo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Baldomero Elizardo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Carlos Fertus in the 36th minute. In the 42nd minute, one of BOCA JUNIORS:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for BOCA JUNIORS. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Severino Savion during the 51st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 52nd minute, Severino Savion hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 58 played minutes EL TACO NO! got a freekick which was hit by Prudencio Pudes. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nicolas Lehen in the 60th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Baldomero Elizardo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 63 minutes into the match, EL TACO NO!'s goal looked a bit too open when Eusebio Gaztea came free, but Alonzo Porfirio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Severino Savion received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Alonzo Porfirio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alonzo Porfirio was a little too slow when Eusebio Gaztea got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 66th minute. The score was now 2-2. EL TACO NO!'s Alonzo Porfirio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to save EL TACO NO! from getting a goal against them. Nicolas Lehen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Dante Felipo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Baldomero Elizardo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Victor Gustau, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eusebio Gaztea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. EL TACO NO!'s defense didn't have a chance, in the 85th minute, when Dante Felipo scored to the left of an out of position Alonzo Porfirio, making the score, 2-3. In the 89th match minute, BOCA JUNIORS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Everardo Rocio to maneuver through the defense. In the 90th minute of the match Maximo Gaueko sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Baldomero Elizardo skillfully saved the ball.
