The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Flavio Camerino in the 42nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vinicio Reus prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Vinicio Reus took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Victoriano Claude, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Placido Esiquio in the 47th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vinicio Reus saved Club Atletico River Plate from getting behind.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Placido Esiquio was the one to do the kick off. Placido Esiquio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Vinicio Reus made a huge save. Octavio Abel's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Elpidio Tiadoro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 59th minute of play. Placido Esiquio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Vinicio Reus tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lucio Farias fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vinicio Reus having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Erasmo Giro in the 82nd minute of play forced Casavindo's goalkeeper Elpidio Tiadoro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Casavindo's Placido Orain got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Placido Esiquio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Club Atletico River Plate's Vinicio Reus proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 91st minute of the match, managed to save Club Atletico River Plate from getting a goal against them. Placido Esiquio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vinicio Reus having to interfere. When the final whistle sounded Casavindo left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Club Atletico River Plate.
