In the 8th minute, Gabriel Eguen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Angel Bonadona who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 20thth minute tested the skills of Jacinto Chano when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Angel Bonadonas short, quick shot in the 25thth minute got Jacinto Chano to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Angel Bonadona in the 29th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jacinto Chano prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 30th minute, Angelo Eyague fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. The referee gave Los Fundamentalistas a penalty, 37 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Gabriel Eguen, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Saavedra FC's Apolo Cutberto. 0-1. After a rather tough play, Saavedra FC's Angel Bonadona got a free kick in the 40th minute. In the 46th minute, Rigoberto Curcio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The Saavedra FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Los Fundamentalistas were winning 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rigoberto Curcio made a kick off. Apolo Cutberto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rigoberto Curcio in the 53rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Angel Bonadona in the 56th minute of play forced Los Fundamentalistas's goalkeeper Jacinto Chano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Emiliano Gipuzkoa's late challenge caught a Los Fundamentalistas's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Emiliano Gipuzkoa helped the player get up and apologised. Gabriel Eguen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 69 minutes into the match, Saavedra FC's goalkeeper Apolo Cutberto had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rigoberto Curcio. An unexpectedly hard shot by Angel Bonadona in the 72nd minute of play forced Los Fundamentalistas's goalkeeper Jacinto Chano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gabriel Eguen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Apolo Cutberto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Gabriel Eguen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Angel Bonadona might have been able to make a better finish in the 81st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jacinto Chano. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Angel Bonadona ran back to his position shaking his head. Angel Bonadona recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Emiliano Gipuzkoa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Los Fundamentalistas getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Ernesto Lazcano hit a great ball. Saavedra FC's Emiliano Gipuzkoa suffered a concussion in the 87th minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. When Ernesto Lazcano fell near the penalty area in the 87th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Los Fundamentalistas's protests and gave Ernesto Lazcano a yellow card for diving instead. Saavedra FC made a substitution. Iker Bladi replaced Emiliano Gipuzkoa. Ernesto Lazcano hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match.
