Spectators: 7250 (Terracing: 5473, Seating: 1677, VIP seats: 100) Saavedra FC's Angel Bonadona started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 4 minutes into the match, Saavedra FC's Angel Bonadona sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Domingos Eguerdi narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The Ranquilcó FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Domingos Eguerdi should have stopped the shot. Emiliano Gipuzkoa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Saavedra FC's Apolo Cutberto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rene Quilo in the 17th minute of play. After 18 played minutes Saavedra FC got a freekick which was hit by Paulo Guib. If Silvano Dino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match had gone on for 23 minutes, Angelo Eyague took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Domingos Eguerdi to make any attempt to save it. In the 29th minute, Fernando Rosario hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Angel Bonadona in the 32nd minute of play forced Ranquilcó FC's goalkeeper Domingos Eguerdi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Abel Azevedo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Domingos Eguerdi having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tiburcio Azubeli during the 35th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Ranquilcó FC's Tiburcio Azubeli got a free kick in the 35th minute. Ranquilcó FC's Domingos Eguerdi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Angelo Eyague in the 40th minute of play. In the 41st minute of the match Jairo Casado sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Domingos Eguerdi skillfully saved the ball. Angel Bonadona received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Domingos Eguerdi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

In the 66th minute of the match Saavedra FC got a corner. Ranquilcó FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Abel Azevedo ran over to the corner to take the kick. Fernando Rosario kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. In the 72nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Ranquilcó FC's goalkeeper Domingos Eguerdi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 75thth minute of the game Angel Bonadona who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ranquilcó FC's Domingos Eguerdi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Braulio Pasqual's late challenge caught a Saavedra FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Braulio Pasqual helped the player get up and apologised. After 76 played minutes Ranquilcó FC got a freekick which was hit by Braulio Pasqual. Angel Bonadona might have been able to make a better finish in the 77th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Domingos Eguerdi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Angel Bonadona ran back to his position shaking his head. Angel Bonadona received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Domingos Eguerdi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
