Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Alfredo Maura started the match with the kick off. Damaso Franco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 2nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cayetano Gabirel's late challenge caught a Matheu's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cayetano Gabirel helped the player get up and apologised. 4 minutes into the game, one of La Banda FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Severo Sagrario had in the 5thth minute some difficulties stopping Dario Colon's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. 6 minutes had been played when some careless play by La Banda FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Dario Colon was slow to take the kick. During this time Matheu's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Matheu's corner Damaso Franco fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Severo Sagrario quite easily take care of the ball. In the 8th minute the ball was on its way in behind La Banda FC's goalkeeper Severo Sagrario, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Teo Bitxintxo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Constantino Urtungo went, in the 9th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Dario Colon hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. In the 15th minute Alfredo Maura shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Teo Bitxintxo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 16th minute, Alfredo Maura left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The La Banda FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Joel Sayveon managed to get in a good position for a shot. Matheu's supporters rose to their feet, but Joel Sayveon was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Severo Sagrario breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Fausto Ihazintu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Severo Sagrario read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 23rd minute of play. Hermengildo Ferran kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. If Joel Sayveon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 32 minutes into the match, La Banda FC's goal looked a bit too open when Fausto Ihazintu came free, but Severo Sagrario reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 34 minutes into the game, Genaro Incendio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. La Banda FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Matheu the free kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Joel Sayveon got free with Severo Sagrario in the 39th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 43 minutes into the match, La Banda FC's goalkeeper Severo Sagrario had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Joel Sayveon. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fausto Ihazintu was the one to do the kick off. Cleto Gaizko scored 0-3 in the 53rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Teo Bitxintxo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 58 minutes into the match, Joel Sayveon had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Severo Sagrario. La Banda FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Joel Sayveon was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. Fausto Ihazintu struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Severo Sagrario didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Matheu. In the 68th minute, Joel Sayveon got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Fausto Ihazintu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Severo Sagrario tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Joel Sayveon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fausto Ihazintu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 81st minute Fausto Ihazintu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Severo Sagrario saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 83 minutes, Fausto Ihazintu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. After a defensive mix-up in La Banda FC's zone, Joel Sayveon stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Severo Sagrario came out of the goal and Joel Sayveon tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 91 minutes, Dario Colon managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Matheu's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dario Colon was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Joel Sayveon recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Fausto Ihazintu scored 2-3 in the 94th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Severo Sagrario, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
