Jonatan Servando could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 3rd minute of the match, but Victorio Loramendi made a huge save. Jonatan Servando struck a weak shot in the 6th minute. Victorio Loramendi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pontevedra. Hoyón FC's Victorio Loramendi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hilario Marz in the 8th minute of play. Hoyón FC's Generoso Eder got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Erubiel Hanot fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pontevedra's protests and gave Erubiel Hanot a yellow card for diving instead. In the 14th match minute, Pontevedra was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Erubiel Hanot to maneuver through the defense. With 17 minutes on the clock, Lucio Gotzon commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. 16 minutes into the game, one of Pontevedra:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The Pontevedra fans' excitement grew in the 22nd match minute when Pontevedra's Jonatan Servando looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Rene Maria charged in rather forcefully in the 25th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rene Maria the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Generoso Eder struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Felipe Castulo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hoyón FC. Victorio Loramendi was a little too slow when Jonatan Servando got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 32nd minute. The score was now 2-0. Generoso Eder received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Felipe Castulo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Victorio Loramendi made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Jonatan Servando sent off a good shot on target. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jonatan Servando made a kick off. Victorio Loramendi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Erasmo Lucian, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. If Leonel Montrelle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mauricio Galindo hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. Leonel Montrelle sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Victorio Loramendi came out of the goal in the 68th minute to try and stop a shot by Pontevedra's Erasmo Lucian. But to his dismay, Erasmo Lucian quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Generoso Eder in the 72nd minute of play forced Pontevedra's goalkeeper Felipe Castulo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Victorio Loramendi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Erubiel Hanot, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Rafael Martino's late challenge caught a Pontevedra's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rafael Martino helped the player get up and apologised. In the 84th match minute, Hoyón FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rafael Martino to maneuver through the defense. In the 87th minute, Erasmo Lucian got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A nice corner shot did that David Aurken got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Felipe Castulo quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Pontevedra's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
