In the 24th minute of the match, Honorio Hernando sent away a good long shot that could have become a goal, but Desiderio Faro showed an example of his skillful tending and made the save just under the crossbar. Arnulfo Cucao struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Desiderio Faro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal.
