Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Matheu's Fausto Ihazintu started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th minute, Fausto Ihazintu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Joel Sayveon in the 5th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Victorio Loramendi saved Hoyón FC from getting behind. Matheu's Teo Bitxintxo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leonel Montrelle in the 7th minute of play. In the 8th minute, Dario Colon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Teo Bitxintxo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leonel Montrelle, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dario Colon hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. 19 minutes into the game, Paulino Navarro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Hoyón FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Matheu the free kick. In the 25th minute, Damaso Franco fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. 27 minutes into the match, Matheu's goal looked a bit too open when Generoso Eder came free, but Teo Bitxintxo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 34 minutes, Joel Sayveon managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Matheu's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joel Sayveon was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Fausto Ihazintu came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Matheu fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fausto Ihazintu couldn't finish the play. Hoyón FC's Victorio Loramendi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to save Hoyón FC from getting a goal against them. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Fausto Ihazintu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Matheu's supporters rose to their feet, but Fausto Ihazintu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Victorio Loramendi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 89th minute, Efrain Quin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Fausto Ihazintu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Matheu's supporters rose to their feet, but Fausto Ihazintu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Victorio Loramendi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. There was no doubt that Matheu were the better team. Matheu's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
