Spectators: 7252 (Terracing: 5440, Seating: 1668, VIP seats: 144) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Jeremias Ariando took the kick off in the first half of the match. 5 minutes into the match, Jeremias Ariando notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Zárate's Ruben Cai. Ruben Cai was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a defensive mix-up in EL GLORIOSO MAXI's zone, Baltasar Senio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Serafino Marques came out of the goal and Baltasar Senio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Patricio Hug fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Serafino Marques having to interfere. Baltasar Senio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Serafino Marques tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Enrique Bordat fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored EL GLORIOSO MAXI's protests and gave Enrique Bordat a yellow card for diving instead. After 16 played minutes EL GLORIOSO MAXI got a freekick which was hit by Enrique Bordat. Baltasar Senio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 27 minutes, Apolo Caitano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Zárate's supporters crossed their fingers, but Apolo Caitano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Patricio Jeraldo fell near the penalty area in the 33rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored EL GLORIOSO MAXI's protests and gave Patricio Jeraldo a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, EL GLORIOSO MAXI's Patricio Jeraldo got a free kick in the 33rd minute. EL GLORIOSO MAXI's Serafino Marques played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Baltasar Senio in the 34th minute of play. Baltasar Senio took the ball and in the 34 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Serafino Marques. Serafino Marques dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Aquilino Harri hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Ruben Cai made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Blas Hitzeder in the 41st minute of play. Jeremias Ariando sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Baltasar Senio to strike the kick off in the second half. Baltasar Senio took the ball and in the 53 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Serafino Marques. Serafino Marques dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. 58 minutes into the game, Arturo Perico was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Zárate's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave EL GLORIOSO MAXI the free kick. When Arnoldo Frasco fell near the penalty area in the 62nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Zárate's protests and gave Arnoldo Frasco a yellow card for diving instead. After having played for 66 minutes, Mateo Quirce managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. EL GLORIOSO MAXI's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mateo Quirce was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 69 minutes into the game, EL GLORIOSO MAXI's Jeremias Ariando nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ruben Cai made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. In the 72nd minute, Patricio Hug ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Serafino Marques was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. In the 82nd minute, Jeremias Ariando fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Baltasar Senio struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Serafino Marques didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Zárate. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Baltasar Senio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Zárate's supporters rose to their feet, but Baltasar Senio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Serafino Marques breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Mateo Quirce came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the EL GLORIOSO MAXI fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mateo Quirce couldn't finish the play. If Mateo Quirce had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jeremias Ariando in the 94th minute of play forced Zárate's goalkeeper Ruben Cai to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The corner ended in Apolo Caitano almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but EL GLORIOSO MAXI's Serafino Marques did a great save. EL GLORIOSO MAXI's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
