The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When the match clock showed 37 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Orlando Millrick sped through Zárate's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ruben Cai. Zárate's Ruben Cai played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Üzeyir Filiz in the 43rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Üzeyir Filiz in the 46th minute of play forced Zárate's goalkeeper Ruben Cai to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half Visser were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Üzeyir Filiz to make the kick off. But to his dismay, Saverio Eguerdi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Visser's Orlando Millrick got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 94 minutes into the match, Üzeyir Filiz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ruben Cai. Zárate's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Üzeyir Filiz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2.
