In the 13th minute of the match, Celestino Betadur tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Edgard Behe saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After a rather tough play, MITRE ATLETIC CLUB's Eusebio Perrando got a free kick in the 14th minute. In the 16th minute, Ladislao Eli got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Celestino Betadur fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edgard Behe having to interfere. In the 20th minute the ball was on its way in behind Guillermo Brown's goalkeeper Gaudencio Osorio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Guillermo Brown's zone, Shao Guang Si stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gaudencio Osorio came out of the goal and Shao Guang Si tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Zé Pedro Messias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Gaudencio Osorio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Zé Pedro Messias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Shao Guang Si came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the MITRE ATLETIC CLUB fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Shao Guang Si couldn't finish the play. MITRE ATLETIC CLUB's supporters rose to their feet, but Zé Pedro Messias was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gaudencio Osorio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Laureano Bordat's late challenge caught a Guillermo Brown's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain.
