Perrugorría FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bernardino Abascal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Guillermo Brown's Gaudencio Osorio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bernardino Abascal in the 7th minute of play. Alfonso Sein showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Celestino Betadur, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. A collision led to Guillermo Brown getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Gonzalo Fonda hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rodolfo Nevada in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gaudencio Osorio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Perrugorría FC's Rodolfo Nevada got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Ladislao Eli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ladislao Eli recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ignacio Bembe kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. A collision led to Guillermo Brown getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Gonzalo Fonda hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Guillermo Brown's zone, Bernardino Abascal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gaudencio Osorio came out of the goal and Bernardino Abascal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Guillermo Brown's Gaudencio Osorio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rodolfo Nevada in the 43rd minute of play. After 44 minutes, Paulo Cordareo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Guillermo Brown and the Perrugorría FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After some careless play in the Guillermo Brown defense, Rodolfo Nevada kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gaudencio Osorio. The Guillermo Brown fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gaudencio Osorio should have stopped the shot.

The wind increased when Celestino Betadur made the kick off in the second half. If Rodolfo Nevada had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Celestino Betadur in the 62nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alfonso Sein saved Perrugorría FC from getting behind. Rodolfo Nevada sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 74 minutes into the match, Guillermo Brown's Ladislao Eli sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alfonso Sein narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Alfonso Sein took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Celestino Betadur, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ladislao Eli fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfonso Sein having to interfere. In the 82nd match minute, Guillermo Brown was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Julian Hitzeder to maneuver through the defense. 87 minutes into the match, Guillermo Brown's goal looked a bit too open when Bernardino Abascal came free, but Gaudencio Osorio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Guillermo Brown booed when Perrugorría FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alejandro Pueblo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alfonso Sein showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Hitzeder in the 93rd minute of the match. If Celestino Betadur had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Guillermo Brown supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Perrugorría FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Perrugorría FC.
