Ciriaco Abastas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lino Gaizkine's shot from short distance in the 20th minute. Lino Gaizkine fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ciriaco Abastas having to interfere. Rolando Ereinotz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Ciriaco Abastas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 31 played minutes Agronomía FC got a freekick which was hit by Godfredo Rocendo. Bernardo Tonio scored 0-2 in the 32nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Amador Oliverios, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Lino Gaizkine had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half sportivo barracas were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The audience was convinced that Aaron Vincente's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Amador Oliverios was relentless in the 53rd minute of the game. The crowd rose to their feet as sportivo barracas's Aaron Vincente slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Amador Oliverios. That made the score 0-3 after 58 minutes of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aaron Vincente in the 75th minute of play forced Agronomía FC's goalkeeper Amador Oliverios to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 91st minute Lino Gaizkine shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ciriaco Abastas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Agronomía FC's zone, Victorino Bernat stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Amador Oliverios came out of the goal and Victorino Bernat tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
