In the 11th minute Tomas Rufio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fulgencio Guilabertus saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 16 minutes, Haroldo Ibon mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the F.C. Neptuno and the Aurinegro Millonario players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 16th match minute, F.C. Neptuno was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Haroldo Ibon to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zeledon Urbez in the 18th minute of play forced Aurinegro Millonario's goalkeeper Fulgencio Guilabertus to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. F.C. Neptuno's Isaias Sanduru was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Fulgencio Guilabertus in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Rolando Karmel made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Horacio Peio sent off a good shot on target. Fulgencio Guilabertus stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Zeledon Urbez's shot from short distance in the 28th minute. Rolando Karmel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Horacio Peio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rolando Karmel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Froilan Atarrabi in the 33rd minute of the match. Severiano Gelacio kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. 35 minutes into the match, Tomas Rufio had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fulgencio Guilabertus. Aurinegro Millonario's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tomas Rufio was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Fulgencio Guilabertus stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Zeledon Urbez's shot from short distance in the 41st minute. The Aurinegro Millonario players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. F.C. Neptuno were winning 0-3.

The wind increased when Horacio Peio made the kick off in the second half. When Horacio Peio came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Aurinegro Millonario fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Horacio Peio couldn't finish the play. Rolando Karmel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Severiano Gelacio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With his leg Fulgencio Guilabertus managed to avoid a goal in the 58thth minute, when F.C. Neptuno's Zeledon Urbez fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Zeledon Urbez's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 62ndth minute, Fulgencio Guilabertus skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After some careless play in the F.C. Neptuno defense, Severiano Gelacio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rolando Karmel. The F.C. Neptuno fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rolando Karmel should have stopped the shot. Froilan Atarrabi's late challenge caught a F.C. Neptuno's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Froilan Atarrabi helped the player get up and apologised. 76 minutes into the game, F.C. Neptuno's Tomas Rufio nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fulgencio Guilabertus made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-4. Gaston Garaile's late challenge caught a F.C. Neptuno's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gaston Garaile helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of F.C. Neptuno booed when Aurinegro Millonario was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gaston Garaile didn't get a good kick on the ball. The F.C. Neptuno fans' excitement grew in the 80th match minute when F.C. Neptuno's Zeledon Urbez looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-5 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 89th minute, Zeledon Urbez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Zeledon Urbez in the 92nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fulgencio Guilabertus prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match was over F.C. Neptuno could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Aurinegro Millonario throughout the match.
