The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Desiderio Eder during the 17th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 17th minute, Desiderio Eder hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Basilio Caitano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 27th minute Basilio Caitano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabricio Bernard saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Basilio Caitano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabricio Bernard having to interfere. Bernabe Urbes didn't miss a given chance and shot in short distance 1-0 via right post in the game's 39th minute. Theobald FC's supporters showed their exhuberating excitement! No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

If Aldo Arias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Amado Goito made a fantastic save in the 62nd minute, when Aldo Arias sent off a good shot on target. In the 70th minute Feliberto Sazon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amado Goito saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aldo Arias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Amado Goito tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Feliberto Sazon's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Amado Goito was relentless in the 73rd minute of the game. After having played for 77 minutes, Bernabe Urbes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Theobald FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bernabe Urbes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 81st minute of the match, Aldo Arias got a very nice opportunity to score, but Amado Goito was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After 82 played minutes Theobald FC got a freekick which was hit by Delmiro Ulizes. Cordoba's Feliberto Sazon got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Theobald FC's Amado Goito proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to save Theobald FC from getting a goal against them. Fabricio Bernard didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Basilio Caitano went, in the 91st minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Cordoba's Aldo Arias suffered a sore thigh after 96 minutes and couldn't finish the game. When Eusebio Birjaio fell near the penalty area in the 96th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Theobald FC's protests and gave Eusebio Birjaio a yellow card for diving instead. In the 97th match minute, Theobald FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eusebio Birjaio to maneuver through the defense. Gregorio Danel didn't quite understand what happened when in the 99 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. Theobald FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Cordoba for a fine match.
