Shmebulockians FC's Tomas Ekialde played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aldo Arias in the 6th minute of play. A collision led to Cordoba getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Desiderio Eder hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Feliberto Sazon managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cordoba's supporters rose to their feet, but Feliberto Sazon was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tomas Ekialde breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 15 minutes into the game, Tobias Quinteros was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Shmebulockians FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cordoba the free kick. Tobias Quinteros hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. If Artemio Tab had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jairo Ruy charged in rather forcefully in the 24th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jairo Ruy the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 24 played minutes Shmebulockians FC got a freekick which was hit by Jairo Ruy. In the 25th minute of the match Rodrigo Eder sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tomas Ekialde skillfully saved the ball. The supporters of Cordoba booed when Shmebulockians FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tobias Quinteros didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Aldo Arias managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cordoba's supporters rose to their feet, but Aldo Arias was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tomas Ekialde breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aldo Arias couldn't finish the play. In the 32nd minute of the match Jaime Azibar sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tomas Ekialde skillfully saved the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eustacio Lluc in the 34th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fabricio Bernard prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Tobias Quinteros was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 40 minutes had been played. Shmebulockians FC's Tomas Ekialde played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Feliberto Sazon in the 44th minute of play. If Aldo Arias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 47th minute, Bernardo Arnas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Feliberto Sazon to strike the kick off in the second half. Artemio Tab received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Fabricio Bernard tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 54th match minute, Cordoba was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Artemio Oriche to maneuver through the defense. Eustacio Lluc fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabricio Bernard having to interfere. If Artemio Tab had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 59th minute Jairo Ruy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabricio Bernard saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Feliberto Sazon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tomas Ekialde having to interfere. Hugo Acuña kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Feliberto Sazon's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tomas Ekialde was relentless in the 66th minute of the game. After 67 minutes, Bernardo Arnas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Shmebulockians FC and the Cordoba players grew even worse after the yellow card. If Feliberto Sazon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tomas Ekialde showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Feliberto Sazon, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute.
