After a defensive mix-up in Itacaruaré AFC's zone, Sergio Etxeberri stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Camilo Ishmael came out of the goal and Sergio Etxeberri tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, Itacaruaré AFC's Camilo Ishmael got control of the ball when Americo Nardo tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sergio Etxeberri in the 13th minute of play forced Itacaruaré AFC's goalkeeper Camilo Ishmael to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 20 minutes into the match, Malleo FC's Sergio Etxeberri sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Camilo Ishmael narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gervasio Viviano to make the kick off. 59 minutes into the game, Aaron Muno was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Malleo FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Itacaruaré AFC the free kick. Aaron Muno hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. Vladimiro Orlanda made an important save on a dangerous shot by Virgilio Kismi in the 70th minute. Malleo FC's Vladimiro Orlanda proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to save Malleo FC from getting a goal against them. Virgilio Kismi's late challenge caught a Malleo FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Virgilio Kismi helped the player get up and apologised. Virgilio Kismi hit a great freekick 97 minutes into the match. 101 minutes into the match, Itacaruaré AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Sergio Etxeberri came free, but Camilo Ishmael reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Itacaruaré AFC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Itacaruaré AFC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
