Gerardo Gonsalve hit a great ball. Isaias Santiago recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 8th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Narciso Avellaneda showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Isaias Santiago, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Isaias Santiago blasted a shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Narciso Avellaneda having to make a save. Edgardo Quintyn kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. In the 20th match minute, Glaciar was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gregorio Iratxo to maneuver through the defense. Glaciar's Narciso Avellaneda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Godfredo Etxeberri in the 21st minute of play. In the 23rd minute Hernan Paez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Narciso Avellaneda saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Narciso Avellaneda showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hernan Paez, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Narciso Avellaneda didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Isaias Santiago went, in the 41st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Isaias Santiago received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Narciso Avellaneda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Glaciar players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Nottingham Forest F.C. were winning 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Edgardo Quintyn stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 56th minute Isaias Santiago shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Narciso Avellaneda saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Narciso Avellaneda made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hernan Paez in the 60th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Glaciar's zone, Isaias Santiago stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Narciso Avellaneda came out of the goal and Isaias Santiago tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alejo Vidal kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. Hernan Paez struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Narciso Avellaneda didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Nottingham Forest F.C.. Hernan Paez who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 69thth minute tested the skills of Narciso Avellaneda when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hernan Paez got free with Narciso Avellaneda in the 89th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Narciso Avellaneda stood somewhat misplaced when Isaias Santiago came free in front of goal and shot 0-2 to the left of him in the 91 minute. After having played for 96 minutes, Isaias Santiago managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Nottingham Forest F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Isaias Santiago was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Nottingham Forest F.C.'s fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
