The throw-in from Everardo Colas in the 21st minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by San Martin FC's Ubaldo Odilon. The crowd rose to their feet as Piamonte FC's Luciano Vincent slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Albano Procopio. That made the score 3-0 after 23 minutes of play. Jonatan Maiorga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Angelo Diegotxe having to interfere. When Leopoldo Amato came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the San Martin FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leopoldo Amato couldn't finish the play. Albano Procopio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luciano Vincent in the 34th minute of play. 36 minutes into the match, San Martin FC's goalkeeper Albano Procopio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Denis Frederik. Jonatan Maiorga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With an all-out effort, Piamonte FC's Albano Procopio threw himself towards the right post 43 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Feliberto Lluis, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Leopoldo Amato charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Leopoldo Amato the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 45 minutes into the game, one of San Martin FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jonatan Maiorga stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Carmelo Sugoi might have been able to make a better finish in the 60th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Angelo Diegotxe. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Albano Procopio was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
