Spectators: 7059 (Terracing: 5403, Seating: 1656, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Ciriaco Flor kicked off to start the match. Donato Tiadoro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cleto Constancio in the 6th minute of play. When AS El Bajo's Amancio Faron in the 10th minute got a chance for a shot 10th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Olimpo's goalie prevented a goal. Dalmacio Espiridion took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 12th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Javier Mikelar. AS El Bajo's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 17 minutes into the match, Olimpo's Anacleto Hitzeder sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Javier Mikelar narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 19 played minutes AS El Bajo got a freekick which was hit by Lucio Bixintxo. Ciriaco Flor received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Javier Mikelar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Generoso Bazkoare had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 28 played minutes AS El Bajo got a freekick which was hit by Amancio Faron. After a defensive mix-up in Olimpo's zone, Amancio Faron stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Donato Tiadoro came out of the goal and Amancio Faron tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 45 minutes, Anacleto Hitzeder mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Olimpo and the AS El Bajo players grew even worse after the yellow card. Donato Tiadoro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cleto Constancio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Cleto Constancio made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of AS El Bajo booed when Olimpo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Efrain Bembe didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cleto Constancio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Donato Tiadoro having to interfere. 69 minutes into the match, Generoso Bazkoare had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Javier Mikelar. AS El Bajo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Generoso Bazkoare was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. If Ciriaco Flor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 89 minutes of play, Olimpo's Ciriaco Flor made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Javier Mikelar was left in no man's land by his defense there! Javier Mikelar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ciriaco Flor, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. Javier Mikelar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ciriaco Flor in the 95th minute of the match. Olimpo's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
