Edelmiro Belmiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wilfredo Amaya having to interfere. An unexpected shot in the 26th minute by Hermengildo Pancho got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Wilfredo Amaya took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Damaso Jayvier, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 34 minutes into the game, Resistencia's Damaso Jayvier nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Wilfredo Amaya made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. 37 minutes into the match, Resistencia's Edelmiro Belmiro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Wilfredo Amaya narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a little luck, Saguara FC's Wilfredo Amaya got control of the ball when Edelmiro Belmiro tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Saguara FC booed when Resistencia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hector Evarado didn't get a good kick on the ball. 72 minutes into the game, Hermengildo Pancho was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Saguara FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Resistencia the free kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Damaso Jayvier in the 93rd minute of play forced Saguara FC's goalkeeper Wilfredo Amaya to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Damaso Jayvier received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Wilfredo Amaya tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
