Spectators: 7200 (Terracing: 5434, Seating: 1666, VIP seats: 100) After 3 minutes of play, Benevento Calcio's Israel Faro made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Moises Urdin was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 6th minute, Elpidio Servando hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Iraola's Moises Urdin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Israel Faro in the 7th minute of play. 10 minutes into the match, Benevento Calcio's Esteve Nalo broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Ignacio Geofredo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Moises Urdin having to interfere. 13 minutes into the match, Iraola's goal looked a bit too open when Ignacio Geofredo came free, but Moises Urdin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Moises Urdin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Israel Faro in the 19th minute of play. Moises Urdin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Israel Faro, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Santiago Joachim's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Joaquin Omero read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Benevento Calcio's Luis Basajaun got a free kick in the 25th minute. Joaquin Omero made an important save on a dangerous shot by Santiago Joachim in the 27th minute. Dalmacio Romano blasted a shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Joaquin Omero having to make a save. After 34 played minutes Iraola got a freekick which was hit by Serafino Micael. In the 35th minute Esteve Nalo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Moises Urdin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Israel Faro took the ball and in the 37 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Moises Urdin. Moises Urdin dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Filomeno Txatxu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Moises Urdin having to interfere. If Israel Faro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Santiago Joachim sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half Benevento Calcio were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dalmacio Romano stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Santiago Joachim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Benevento Calcio's Joaquin Omero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dalmacio Romano in the 56th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ramiro Pereyra during the 60th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 59 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Iraola! Moises Urdin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Israel Faro in the 65th minute of play. When Santiago Joachim came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Iraola fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Santiago Joachim couldn't finish the play. Israel Faro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Froilan Larpe hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. Ignacio Geofredo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Moises Urdin was out of position in the 78 minute of play, and Israel Faro capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Israel Faro really showed his touch with that goal: 0-4. Santiago Joachim struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Joaquin Omero didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Iraola. Israel Faro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
