Deportivo Boris's Cristobal Florian got a good chance for a goal in the 6th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mauricio Laurin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dalmacio Romano, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Santiago Joachim in the 12th minute of play forced Deportivo Boris's goalkeeper Mauricio Laurin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Through an outstanding action, after 18 minutes, Moises Urdin successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 18th minute, Elpidio Servando hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Deportivo Boris were furious when Eustacio Paio was red carded, 28 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Moises Urdin was a little too slow when Cristobal Florian got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 32nd minute. The score was now 1-0. Cristobal Florian recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cristobal Florian sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 43 minutes into the match, Santiago Joachim had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mauricio Laurin. Deportivo Boris's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Santiago Joachim was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Mauricio Laurin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cipriano Peruxu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 48th minute of the match Baldomiro Calisto sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Mauricio Laurin skillfully saved the ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dalmacio Romano stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Mauricio Laurin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elpidio Servando, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Deportivo Boris's Mauricio Laurin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to save Deportivo Boris from getting a goal against them. In the 60th minute Dalmacio Romano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mauricio Laurin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Froilan Larpe took the ball and in the 61 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mauricio Laurin. Mauricio Laurin dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. 67 minutes into the match, Deportivo Boris's goalkeeper Mauricio Laurin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Santiago Joachim. After 68 played minutes Iraola got a freekick which was hit by Dalmacio Romano. In the 71st minute, Uriel Barros left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Iraola fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. The supporters of Deportivo Boris booed when Iraola was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dalmacio Romano didn't get a good kick on the ball. 77 minutes into the game, Deportivo Boris's Albano Afonso nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Moises Urdin made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3. Deportivo Boris's Mauricio Laurin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to save Deportivo Boris from getting a goal against them. In the 89th minute, Cipriano Peruxu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Cristobal Florian had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Cristobal Florian managed to get in a good position for a shot. Deportivo Boris's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristobal Florian was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Moises Urdin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
