The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Igor Fagondo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. Ciriaco Blanco scored 0-1 in the 16th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Geronimo Etor, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Jacinto Checa might have been able to make a better finish in the 22nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Arnaldo Jerold. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jacinto Checa ran back to his position shaking his head. When Igor Fagondo came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Luro FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Igor Fagondo couldn't finish the play. Ciriaco Blanco might have been able to make a better finish in the 26th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Geronimo Etor. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ciriaco Blanco ran back to his position shaking his head. Baldomiro Onofre received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Geronimo Etor tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ciriaco Blanco struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Geronimo Etor didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Metaguacha FC. In the 35th minute Igor Fagondo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnaldo Jerold saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 38th minute, Paulo Federigo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Baldomiro Onofre sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ciriaco Blanco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Geronimo Etor having to interfere. The Luro FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Metaguacha FC were winning 0-1.

The wind increased when Ciriaco Blanco made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Igor Fagondo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Metaguacha FC's Paulo Federigo got a free kick in the 52nd minute. After a rather tough play, Luro FC's Lázaro Gilabert got a free kick in the 54th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ciriaco Blanco in the 55th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Geronimo Etor prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Igor Fagondo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Metaguacha FC getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Eugenio Cordara hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Metaguacha FC's zone, Igor Fagondo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arnaldo Jerold came out of the goal and Igor Fagondo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Luro FC's Jacinto Checa got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 65th minute, Baldomiro Onofre fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Geronimo Etor, passed just outside the right post. Arnaldo Jerold showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Igor Fagondo in the 74th minute of the match. In the 75th minute Igor Fagondo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnaldo Jerold saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jacinto Checa in the 77th minute of play forced Metaguacha FC's goalkeeper Arnaldo Jerold to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Moises Rivas fell near the penalty area in the 79th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Metaguacha FC's protests and gave Moises Rivas a yellow card for diving instead. After 79 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Metaguacha FC! The referee gave Luro FC a penalty, 81 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Victoriano Quin, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Metaguacha FC's Arnaldo Jerold. 1-1. After 85 played minutes Luro FC got a freekick which was hit by Constantino Balesio. In the 87th minute Igor Fagondo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnaldo Jerold saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 97th minute, Baldomiro Onofre got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
