The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Cristian Nahia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, WaLeros's Eustaquio Dei got control of the ball when Aurelio Medardo tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Aurelio Medardo came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Candelaria fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aurelio Medardo couldn't finish the play. 17 minutes into the match, Candelaria's Aurelio Medardo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Eustaquio Dei narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Cristian Nahia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 25 minutes into the match, WaLeros's goal looked a bit too open when Leonel Dino came free, but Eustaquio Dei reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, WaLeros's Feliciano Eliazar got a free kick in the 25th minute. With a little luck, WaLeros's Eustaquio Dei got control of the ball when Aurelio Medardo tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 33rd match minute, Candelaria was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlos Che to maneuver through the defense. WaLeros's Eleuterio Feliz got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 38th minute Cristian Nahia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aldo Napier saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 42 minutes into the match, Aurelio Medardo dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Eustaquio Dei, 1-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fabian Lonzo was the one to do the kick off. Eustaquio Dei showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fabian Lonzo in the 54th minute of the match. Fabian Lonzo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Eustaquio Dei tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 62nd minute Cristian Nahia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aldo Napier saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aldo Napier was a little too slow when Cristian Nahia got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 72nd minute. The score was now 1-1. Jacobo Frasquito hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. Aurelio Medardo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eustaquio Dei having to interfere. In the 81st minute, Fabian Lonzo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 86 played minutes WaLeros got a freekick which was hit by Jacobo Frasquito. Cristian Nahia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The WaLeros players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Candelaria from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
