When Fabian Lonzo fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Candelaria's protests and gave Fabian Lonzo a yellow card for diving instead. After 20 played minutes Candelaria got a freekick which was hit by Fabian Lonzo. Ciro Mogel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aurelio Medardo in the 26th minute of play. In the 28th minute, Aurelio Medardo made a precise shot to the right of Ciro Mogel. Atletico Campana's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Aurelio Medardo charged in rather forcefully in the 35th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Aurelio Medardo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 35th match minute, Candelaria was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aurelio Medardo to maneuver through the defense. Aldo Napier made an important save on a dangerous shot by Teo Xabel in the 36th minute. When the match had gone on for 37 minutes, Felix Ibañez put it in 3-1 from a short distance just to the right of Aldo Napier. After recieving a nice pass, Atletico Campana's Aureliano Costante tried to score from far away in the 96th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Candelaria's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
