Epifanio Txordon's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gavino Chumo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 13th minute of play. Honorato Ignatius sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. River Silver's Gavino Chumo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save River Silver from getting a goal against them. With a little luck, River Silver's Gavino Chumo got control of the ball when Epifanio Txordon tried to sneak it across the goal line. Gavino Chumo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Honorato Ignatius, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Honorato Ignatius received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Gavino Chumo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. River Silver's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Poma the free kick. In a very dangerous position, a player in River Silver fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 40th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Poma a penalty, 41 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Modesto Bartoli, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of River Silver's Gavino Chumo. 2-1. In the 45th minute Honorato Canor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pablo Cooley saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 45 played minutes Poma got a freekick which was hit by Ciro Ponciano. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

River Silver's Gavino Chumo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Epifanio Txordon in the 58th minute of play. In the 60th minute Honorato Ignatius shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gavino Chumo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 61 played minutes River Silver got a freekick which was hit by Pastor Etxepare. If Honorato Ignatius had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Gavino Chumo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Epifanio Txordon in the 70th minute of the match. When Honorato Ignatius came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Poma fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Honorato Ignatius couldn't finish the play. If Epifanio Txordon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead.
