Joaquin Mikeldi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mariano Joachim in the 28th minute of play. Barrilete Cósmico ®'s defense didn't have a chance, in the 29th minute, when Victoriano Eztebe scored to the left of an out of position Bartolo Frasquito, making the score, 1-0. 34 minutes into the match, El ciclon's goal looked a bit too open when Mariano Joachim came free, but Joaquin Mikeldi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Augusto Isadore got free with Bartolo Frasquito in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Augusto Isadore recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Victoriano Eztebe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The supporters of El ciclon booed when Barrilete Cósmico ® was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leonel Lluques didn't get a good kick on the ball. Barrilete Cósmico ®'s Bartolo Frasquito played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Augusto Isadore in the 57th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Augusto Isadore in the 59th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bartolo Frasquito saved Barrilete Cósmico ® from getting behind. Leonel Lluques hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. After having played for 61 minutes, Augusto Isadore managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. El ciclon's supporters crossed their fingers, but Augusto Isadore was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Augusto Isadore in the 63rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bartolo Frasquito prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Augusto Isadore managed to get in a good position for a shot. El ciclon's supporters rose to their feet, but Augusto Isadore was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bartolo Frasquito breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Augusto Isadore sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mariano Joachim in the 71st minute of play forced El ciclon's goalkeeper Joaquin Mikeldi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Guaberto Ignatius kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Barrilete Cósmico ®'s Enrique Reyes got a free kick in the 77th minute. In the 82nd minute, Augusto Isadore made a precise shot to the right of Bartolo Frasquito. Barrilete Cósmico ®'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. When Augusto Isadore came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the El ciclon fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Augusto Isadore couldn't finish the play. If Ramon Fernandez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 91 minutes, Enrique Reyes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Barrilete Cósmico ® and the El ciclon players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Barrilete Cósmico ® getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Enrique Reyes hit a great ball. In the 94th minute, Alfredo Cordearo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
