Spectators: 6654 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1651, VIP seats: 3) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Zacarias Acuña kicked off to start the match. A collision led to Candioti getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Ceferino Ekain hit a great ball. 13 minutes into the match, Candioti's goal looked a bit too open when Zacarias Acuña came free, but Alvaro Gorbea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alvaro Gorbea came out of the goal in the 18th minute to try and stop a shot by River Plate's Maximo Salbatore. But to his dismay, Maximo Salbatore quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Gaspar Ceandro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lorenzo Laurendi in the 25th minute of play. Santiago Abechuco charged in rather forcefully in the 27th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Santiago Abechuco the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 27 played minutes River Plate got a freekick which was hit by Santiago Abechuco. If Saturnino Bento had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in River Plate's zone, Lorenzo Laurendi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gaspar Ceandro came out of the goal and Lorenzo Laurendi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Lorenzo Laurendi succeeded in the game's 40th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-1. Gaspar Ceandro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Saturnino Bento, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lorenzo Laurendi to make the kick off. Gaspar Ceandro made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when Saturnino Bento sent off a good shot on target. In the 57th minute, Adolfo Gaztea hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Candioti's Ivan Delfino couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 58th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for River Plate. If Lorenzo Laurendi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 61st play minute Saturnino Bento came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Gaspar Ceandro. 1-2. In the 64th minute, Ceferino Ekain hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Saturnino Bento got free with Gaspar Ceandro in the 67th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 72 minutes Candioti's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Conrado Macias who took care of the corner kick. Emilio Errando's late challenge caught a Candioti's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Emilio Errando helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Candioti booed when River Plate was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emilio Errando didn't get a good kick on the ball. Saturnino Bento might have been able to make a better finish in the 77th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gaspar Ceandro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Saturnino Bento ran back to his position shaking his head. Gaspar Ceandro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lorenzo Laurendi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 84 minutes into the match, Candioti's goal looked a bit too open when Maximo Salbatore came free, but Alvaro Gorbea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 85th minute, Zacarias Acuña got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Saturnino Bento recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the match was over Candioti could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than River Plate throughout the match.
