Edelmiro Guilabertus showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hilario Etxekopar in the 5th minute of the match. Edelmiro Guilabertus showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hilario Etxekopar, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. 8 minutes into the match, Mayuka's Silvano Loiola sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dionisio Milian narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Mayuka's Aquiles Aires got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 17 minutes into the match, Tiburcio Domeka notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Mayuka's Edelmiro Guilabertus. Edelmiro Guilabertus was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Alfonso Etor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nicolas Bieito's late challenge caught a Mayuka's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nicolas Bieito helped the player get up and apologised. Dionisio Milian made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfonso Etor in the 38th minute of play. 39 minutes into the game, Teodoro Arixo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mayuka's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave HIV the free kick. Teodoro Arixo hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Edelmiro Guilabertus came out of the goal in the 40th minute to try and stop a shot by HIV's Tiburcio Domeka. But to his dismay, Tiburcio Domeka quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. In the 43rd minute, Teodoro Arixo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Celedonio Naike made the kick off in the second half. Hilario Etxekopar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the match had gone on for 55 minutes, Celedonio Naike took a quick shot and it went in 0-3 without a chance for Edelmiro Guilabertus to make any attempt to save it. The supporters of HIV booed when Mayuka was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Teodoro Arixo didn't get a good kick on the ball. 62 minutes into the match, Mayuka's goalkeeper Edelmiro Guilabertus had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tiburcio Domeka. Edelmiro Guilabertus took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hilario Etxekopar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 70 minutes into the game, Isaias Bertran threw the ball into play from the sideline. Mayuka's Tadeo Larra quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Celedonio Naike was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 71st minute. HIV's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. 71 minutes into the game, Celedonio Naike recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Edelmiro Guilabertus. Celedonio Naike showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-4. Edelmiro Guilabertus made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nicolas Bieito in the 74th minute. Hilario Etxekopar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing HIV would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
