Mayuka's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aquiles Aires was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 10 minutes into the match, Mayuka's Alfonso Etor sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Leon Maule narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Bonifacio Maurin charged in rather forcefully in the 16th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bonifacio Maurin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Bonifacio Maurin hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. A5 WG's Atilano Botello shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 18th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Edelmiro Guilabertus but with some difficulty. After having played for 19 minutes, Silvano Loiola managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. In the 21st minute Hipolito Gai shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edelmiro Guilabertus saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Mayuka getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Teodoro Arixo hit a great ball. After 24 played minutes, A5 WG's Jairo Distiratsu shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Edelmiro Guilabertus came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in A5 WG reached it. When the match had gone on for 35 minutes, Aquiles Felipillo took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Edelmiro Guilabertus to make any attempt to save it. 38 minutes into the match, Alfonso Etor had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Leon Maule. A5 WG's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alfonso Etor was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Thanks to some nice moves Hipolito Gai could shoot a difficult shot in the 45th minute, which Edelmiro Guilabertus however easily saved by the left post. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Leon Maule took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Silvano Loiola, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Leon Maule showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tadeo Larra, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. With an all-out effort, Mayuka's Leon Maule threw himself towards the right post 71 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Aquiles Aires, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Silvano Loiola fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leon Maule having to interfere. In the 82nd match minute, Mayuka was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Teodoro Arixo to maneuver through the defense. When Alfonso Etor came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Mayuka fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alfonso Etor couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in A5 WG's zone, Alfonso Etor stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leon Maule came out of the goal and Alfonso Etor tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Benedicto Guzman's late challenge caught a Mayuka's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Benedicto Guzman helped the player get up and apologised. Mayuka's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
