They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bernardino Jax was the one to do the kick off. Segundo Isidor took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ubaldo Sidro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Segundo Isidor made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gaudencio Liher in the 88th minute. Bernardino Jax received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Emiliano Havier tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gaudencio Liher could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Segundo Isidor made a huge save. When the match was over Villa Atuel FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Estrella del Sur throughout the match.
