Diego Bermund charged in rather forcefully in the 2nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Diego Bermund the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Diego Bermund hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. Teodoro Eate acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 5th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Cesar Dalmu. After 8 minutes of play MMCE FC's Diego Bermund was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Gregorio Ladio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nicanor Demario received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Teodoro Eate tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. MMCE FC's Jairo Izotz got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 19 minutes, Arturo Tohias managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. MMCE FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Arturo Tohias was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Geronimo Ospin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Arturo Tohias fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Teodoro Eate having to interfere. Gaspar Montes's late challenge caught a MMCE FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gaspar Montes helped the player get up and apologised. With a little luck, Cañada FC's Teodoro Eate got control of the ball when Arturo Tohias tried to sneak it across the goal line. Teodoro Eate made a fantastic save in the 33rd minute, when Arturo Tohias sent off a good shot on target. Arturo Tohias in the 35thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Teodoro Eate, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Gregorio Ladio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Teodoro Eate tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. MMCE FC's Arturo Tohias got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Teodoro Eate made a fantastic save in the 48th minute, when Jairo Izotz sent off a good shot on target. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Angelino Ramos made a kick off. Marco Lauren made an important save on a dangerous shot by Geronimo Ospin in the 52nd minute. 55 minutes into the match, Arturo Tohias notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Cañada FC's Teodoro Eate. Teodoro Eate was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Arturo Tohias's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Teodoro Eate read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 66th minute of play. Teodoro Eate showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gregorio Ladio, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. When Nicanor Demario fell near the penalty area in the 71st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored MMCE FC's protests and gave Nicanor Demario a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to MMCE FC getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Nicanor Demario hit a great ball. After 75 minutes of play MMCE FC's Nicanor Demario was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 80th minute Jairo Izotz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Teodoro Eate saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 86 minutes into the match, MMCE FC's Gregorio Ladio sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Teodoro Eate narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Cañada FC's zone, Jairo Izotz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Teodoro Eate came out of the goal and Jairo Izotz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Angelino Ramos in the 90th minute of play forced MMCE FC's goalkeeper Marco Lauren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Jairo Izotz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 93rd minute, Jairo Izotz made a precise shot to the right of Teodoro Eate. Cañada FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. When the referee ended the match the MMCE FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
