With a little luck, Villa Atuel FC's Emiliano Havier got control of the ball when Geronimo Ospin tried to sneak it across the goal line. 13 minutes into the match, Cañada FC's Angelino Ramos sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Emiliano Havier narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 37th match minute, Cañada FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fabio Darien to maneuver through the defense. Geronimo Ospin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emiliano Havier having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Angelino Ramos was the one to do the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Angelino Ramos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cañada FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Angelino Ramos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Emiliano Havier breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ubaldo Sidro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 60th minute Gaudencio Liher shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Teodoro Eate saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
