The supporters of Hawaii Football Club booed when Mebla por siempre was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benjamin Abarca didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 10 minutes of play Mebla por siempre's Benjamin Abarca was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. When Cristo Janpier fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hawaii Football Club's protests and gave Cristo Janpier a yellow card for diving instead. Cristo Janpier hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. In the 25th of the match, Adrian Gonzalez tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Adrian Regis got in the way and made a wonderful save. In the 29th minute Adrian Gonzalez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adrian Regis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 36th minute, Adrian Gonzalez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Hawaii Football Club's Adrian Gonzalez got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mebla por siempre's Adrian Regis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adrian Gonzalez in the 41st minute of play. In the 45thth minute of the game Adrian Gonzalez who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mebla por siempre's Adrian Regis was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Epifanio Urdaspal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lorenzo Loren having to interfere. Epifanio Urdaspal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Adrian Regis came out of the goal and Celestino Arotza tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 77 minutes into the game, Epifanio Urdaspal lined in a short shot 0-1 behind a frustrated Lorenzo Loren. If Celestino Arotza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adrian Gonzalez in the 89th minute of play forced Mebla por siempre's goalkeeper Adrian Regis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Celestino Arotza might have been able to make a better finish in the 92nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Adrian Regis. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Celestino Arotza ran back to his position shaking his head. Chants of Mebla por siempre echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Hawaii Football Club had held the ball for most of the match.
