The tension between the Curiosity killed the cat and the Hawaii Football Club players grew even worse after the yellow card. If Adrian Gonzalez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Celestino Arotza managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hawaii Football Club's supporters rose to their feet, but Celestino Arotza was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arnaldo Diegotxe breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With an all-out effort, Hawaii Football Club's Arnaldo Diegotxe threw himself towards the right post 26 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Adrian Gonzalez, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 34 minutes into the match, Adrian Gonzalez dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Arnaldo Diegotxe, 2-1. When Benedicto Remigio came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Curiosity killed the cat fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Benedicto Remigio couldn't finish the play. Celestino Arotza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arnaldo Diegotxe having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Benedicto Remigio made a kick off. After 54 played minutes Hawaii Football Club got a freekick which was hit by Narciso Gar. 56 minutes into the match, Benedicto Remigio dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Lorenzo Loren, 2-2. A collision led to Curiosity killed the cat getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Jeronimo Atarrabi hit a great ball. Celestino Arotza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arnaldo Diegotxe having to interfere. Hawaii Football Club's Adrian Gonzalez got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Arnaldo Diegotxe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Celestino Arotza in the 65th minute of the match. After having played for 67 minutes, Celestino Arotza managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hawaii Football Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but Celestino Arotza was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Celestino Arotza in the 73rd minute of play forced Curiosity killed the cat's goalkeeper Arnaldo Diegotxe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nicanor Garaona fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lorenzo Loren having to interfere. Lorenzo Loren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benedicto Remigio in the 76th minute of play. In the 87th minute, Celestino Arotza got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a little luck, Hawaii Football Club's Lorenzo Loren got control of the ball when Nicanor Garaona tried to sneak it across the goal line. Benedicto Remigio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Lorenzo Loren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Benedicto Remigio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Despite being the better team, Hawaii Football Club failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
