Spectators: 7201 (Terracing: 5402, Seating: 1656, VIP seats: 143) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Roque Iratxo got the match started through his kick off. After some careless play in the Hualcama defense, Godofredo Lamberto kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Julian Banegas. The Hualcama fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Julian Banegas should have stopped the shot. Augusto Ado did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-1 to the left of a surprised Zeledon Bermudez 9 minutes into the match. If Roque Iratxo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zeledon Bermudez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Justo Dalmai in the 21st minute of the match. If Godofredo Lamberto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Roque Iratxo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Zeledon Bermudez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Roque Iratxo in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Zeledon Bermudez prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Augusto Ado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hualcama's Roque Iratxo got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience thought it was a sure goal in the 47th minute, when Hualcama's Norberto Bizi after having done a great run through the defense got himself free with Zeledon Bermudez in Once Pitus's goal and fired away a shot, but it missed the goal by a fraction of an inch. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fabio Bibiano to make the kick off. 58 minutes into the match, Hualcama's goalkeeper Julian Banegas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Godofredo Lamberto. The supporters of Once Pitus booed when Hualcama was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Justo Dalmai didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 62nd minute of the match Once Pitus got a corner. Hualcama's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Nicanor Herena ran over to the corner to take the kick. Nicanor Herena made a great header on Once Pitus's corner, it was just that Hualcama's Julian Banegas managed to reach the ball for a save. Zeledon Bermudez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Augusto Ado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Augusto Ado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zeledon Bermudez having to interfere. If Augusto Ado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Paulino Lamberto's late challenge caught a Once Pitus's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Paulino Lamberto helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Hualcama getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Paulino Lamberto hit a great ball.
