If Joaquin Gutxi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Severiano Gai charged in rather forcefully in the 39th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Severiano Gai the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 39th match minute, Cordoba United F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Severiano Gai to maneuver through the defense. Salvador Pueblo hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. When Teodosio Aztore came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Bajastine fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Teodosio Aztore couldn't finish the play. The Cordoba United F.C. players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Bajastine were winning 0-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rodolfo Olentzaro to make the kick off.
