In the 15th minute Efrain Mark shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Teofilo Felo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benedicto Asur in the 19th minute of play forced Velez Sarsfield's goalkeeper Teofilo Felo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Benedicto Asur scored 0-1 in the 21st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Teofilo Felo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After having played for 25 minutes, Damian Txurio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Amado Hever made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jesus Jurdan in the 42nd minute of play. Damian Txurio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Amado Hever tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Velez Sarsfield's Jesus Jurdan in the 48th minute got a chance for a shot 48th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. But to his dismay, Jesus Jurdan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. The Velez Sarsfield supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching balvanera FC's performance. The match ended with a win for balvanera FC.
