Spectators: 7225 (Terracing: 5420, Seating: 1662, VIP seats: 143) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Ruperto Raymon took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 3rd minute of the match Blas Jesco shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Modesto Eufrasio showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 6th minute, Cucullú's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Celestino Montrel fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Reynaldo Celipe recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Astor Lohitzun charged in rather forcefully in the 21st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Astor Lohitzun the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Club Mariano Moreno's Teofilo Beltza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ruperto Raymon in the 23rd minute of play. Teofilo Beltza came out of the goal in the 31st minute to try and stop a shot by Cucullú's Ruperto Raymon. But to his dismay, Ruperto Raymon quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. When Octavio Gabino came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Club Mariano Moreno fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Octavio Gabino couldn't finish the play. Celestino Montrel struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Modesto Eufrasio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Club Mariano Moreno. Reynaldo Celipe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Modesto Eufrasio made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Octavio Gabino sent off a good shot on target. Club Mariano Moreno's Jeronimo Derwin suffered a fractured collar bone after 47 minutes and couldn't finish the game. After 48 played minutes Cucullú got a freekick which was hit by Sergio Elivareo. The Club Mariano Moreno players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Cucullú were winning 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Octavio Gabino made a kick off. Ruperto Raymon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Teofilo Beltza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cucullú's Reynaldo Celipe got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Club Mariano Moreno's Iker Nalo got a free kick in the 65th minute. In the 66th minute of the match Eleuterio Jenaro shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Teofilo Beltza showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Reynaldo Celipe in the 68thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Teofilo Beltza, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. If Ruperto Raymon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ruperto Raymon blasted a shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Teofilo Beltza having to make a save. The supporters of Club Mariano Moreno booed when Cucullú was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Justo Pancho didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 78 minutes, Octavio Gabino managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Club Mariano Moreno's supporters crossed their fingers, but Octavio Gabino was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 80 minutes into the match, Octavio Gabino had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Modesto Eufrasio. Cucullú's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Octavio Gabino was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Modesto Eufrasio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Octavio Gabino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Club Mariano Moreno booed when Cucullú was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sergio Elivareo didn't get a good kick on the ball. 89 minutes into the match, Club Mariano Moreno's goalkeeper Teofilo Beltza had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Reynaldo Celipe. In the 90th minute, Ruperto Raymon got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Club Mariano Moreno fans cheered their team off the field, for while Cucullú had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
