Luisito Chuan started the match with the kick off. Luisito Chuan might have been able to make a better finish in the 9th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ubaldo Jaen. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Luisito Chuan ran back to his position shaking his head. The supporters of Tatengue FC booed when Matancilla FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aquilino Bernad didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 19th minute the ball was on its way in behind Matancilla FC's goalkeeper Ubaldo Jaen, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Tatengue FC's Teodoro Savier got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ricardo Marin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 35 minutes, Teodoro Savier managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tatengue FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Teodoro Savier was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 37 minutes into the game, Tatengue FC's Luisito Chuan nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ubaldo Jaen made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Ubaldo Jaen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luisito Chuan in the 42nd minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Agustin Araoz during the 45th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Matancilla FC's Agustin Araoz got a free kick in the 45th minute. When Teodoro Savier came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Tatengue FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Teodoro Savier couldn't finish the play. Ubaldo Jaen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Teodoro Savier, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Carmelo Vigil to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luisito Chuan in the 53rd minute of play forced Matancilla FC's goalkeeper Ubaldo Jaen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 58thth minute of the game Luisito Chuan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Matancilla FC's Ubaldo Jaen was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Luisito Chuan struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Ubaldo Jaen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tatengue FC. The crowd rose to their feet as Luisito Chuan kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ubaldo Jaen. That made the score 0-2 in the 62 minute of play. Luciano Elodio kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Luisito Chuan struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Ubaldo Jaen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tatengue FC. Matancilla FC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Luisito Chuan 77 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-3. Eugenio Cordera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carmelo Vigil in the 81st minute of play. A collision led to Matancilla FC getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Marco Chago hit a great ball. Ubaldo Jaen made an important save on a dangerous shot by Teodoro Savier in the 84th minute. 86 minutes into the match, Teodoro Savier notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of Matancilla FC's Ubaldo Jaen. Ubaldo Jaen was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Matancilla FC's Ricardo Marin got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
