Seating: 1661, VIP seats: 143) When Fausto Herena came up free with the goalie in the 8th minute, the Salado fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fausto Herena couldn't finish the play. When Modesto Silbestre fell near the penalty area in the 9th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Candelaria's protests and gave Modesto Silbestre a yellow card for diving instead. Modesto Silbestre kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. Niceto Benvido sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 15 minutes into the match, Candelaria's Edgardo Favila sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Valentin Ramond narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Candelaria's Alejo Felo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fausto Herena in the 17th minute of play. In the 18th minute, Fausto Herena left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Salado fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. The referee gave Salado a penalty, 25 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Ermegildo Tabor, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Candelaria's Alejo Felo. 0-2. Fausto Herena fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alejo Felo having to interfere. Edgardo Favila sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.
53 minutes into the match, Candelaria's goal looked a bit too open when Vinicio Venceslas came free, but Alejo Felo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 67th minute of the match Ermegildo Tabor sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Alejo Felo skillfully saved the ball. After a rather tough play, Candelaria's Modesto Silbestre got a free kick in the 68th minute. After 69th play minutes Fausto Herena shot 0-3, a short shot which went by Alejo Felo and just under the crossbar into goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Edgardo Favila managed to get in a good position for a shot. Candelaria's supporters rose to their feet, but Edgardo Favila was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Valentin Ramond breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Fausto Herena recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alejo Felo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vinicio Venceslas in the 84th minute. In the 92nd minute, Emilio Veronica hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 96 minutes into the match, Salado's goal looked a bit too open when Niceto Benvido came free, but Valentin Ramond reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
