In the 16th minute, Orlando Oier got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Matancilla FC's Ubaldo Jaen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mauro Quintana in the 24th minute of play. In the 30th minute Carmelo Vigil shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elias Gotzon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ricardo Marin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Elias Gotzon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With an all-out effort, Pincén's Ubaldo Jaen threw himself towards the right post 47 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Mauro Quintana, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Carmelo Vigil stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Orlando Oier fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ubaldo Jaen having to interfere. Enzo Ermano kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. After 60 played minutes Pincén got a freekick which was hit by Feliberto Barbosa. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, Ricardo Marin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Matancilla FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ricardo Marin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Elias Gotzon breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ricardo Marin got free with Elias Gotzon in the 66th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 68 minutes into the match, Mauro Quintana had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ubaldo Jaen. Matancilla FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mauro Quintana was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. In the 75th minute, Mauro Quintana got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Felipe Barbosa hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Matancilla FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Diego Laffitte in the 82nd minute. Feliberto Barbosa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Ubaldo Jaen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Mauro Quintana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. Ubaldo Jaen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mauro Quintana, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. Orlando Oier fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ubaldo Jaen having to interfere. Pincén's Orlando Oier got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
