Spectators: 7187 (Terracing: 5392, Seating: 1653, VIP seats: 142) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Celestino Montrel started the match with the kick off. Valentin Ramond showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Octavio Gabino, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. Fausto Herena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Salado's Valentin Ramond played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Octavio Gabino in the 10th minute of play. The attack was good, but when Fausto Herena in the 12th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. After a defensive mix-up in Club Mariano Moreno's zone, Fausto Herena stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Teofilo Beltza came out of the goal and Fausto Herena tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Vinicio Venceslas came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the Salado fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vinicio Venceslas couldn't finish the play. If Vinicio Venceslas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 27th minute Fausto Herena shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Teofilo Beltza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Club Mariano Moreno's Teofilo Beltza got control of the ball when Vinicio Venceslas tried to sneak it across the goal line. Octavio Gabino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valentin Ramond having to interfere. Valentin Ramond showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jeronimo Derwin in the 37th minute of the match. 41 minutes into the match, Salado's goal looked a bit too open when Celestino Montrel came free, but Valentin Ramond reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vinicio Venceslas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Teofilo Beltza having to interfere. Salado's Vinicio Venceslas got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fausto Herena to make the kick off. After 54 played minutes Salado got a freekick which was hit by Severiano Inguma. In the 57th minute, Vinicio Venceslas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Fausto Herena fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Teofilo Beltza having to interfere. In the 61st minute, Octavio Gabino got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Celestino Montrel came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the Club Mariano Moreno fans jumped to their feet. If Celestino Montrel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 88th minute, Octavio Gabino got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Celestino Montrel in the 91st minute of play forced Salado's goalkeeper Valentin Ramond to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Valentin Ramond showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Celestino Montrel, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. After 96 played minutes Celestino Montrel rounded Salado's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-2. The Salado fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Club Mariano Moreno were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
