Niceto Benvido fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Teofilo Beltza having to interfere. 29 minutes into the match, Candelaria's goalkeeper Alejo Felo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Octavio Gabino. After 31 minutes, Genaro Llorian mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Club Mariano Moreno and the Candelaria players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Club Mariano Moreno's Genaro Llorian got a free kick in the 31st minute. Edgardo Favila fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Teofilo Beltza having to interfere. When Niceto Benvido came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Candelaria fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Niceto Benvido couldn't finish the play. When Amancio Guillelmo fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Club Mariano Moreno's protests and gave Amancio Guillelmo a yellow card for diving instead. After 45 played minutes Club Mariano Moreno got a freekick which was hit by Amancio Guillelmo. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Edgardo Favila to make the kick off. After 53 minutes, Blas Jesco mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Club Mariano Moreno and the Candelaria players grew even worse after the yellow card. 52 minutes into the game, one of Club Mariano Moreno:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The goalkeeper, Teofilo Beltza, was totally fooled by Candelaria's Hilario Elizardo, who 54 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Amancio Guillelmo kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. When Edgardo Favila came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Candelaria fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edgardo Favila couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Club Mariano Moreno getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Iker Nalo hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Club Mariano Moreno's Jeronimo Derwin got a free kick in the 68th minute. Candelaria's Hilario Elizardo couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 68th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Club Mariano Moreno. If Niceto Benvido had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 90 minutes into the game, Niceto Benvido cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Teofilo Beltza was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Teofilo Beltza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edgardo Favila in the 96th minute of the match. When the match was over Candelaria could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Club Mariano Moreno throughout the match.
