The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Claudio Camerino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gustavo Cordairo having to interfere. An unexpected shot in the 10th minute by Maximino Nastasio got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After having played for 13 minutes, Mauricio Tab managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bermejo FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mauricio Tab was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 15 minutes into the match, Claudio Camerino had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gustavo Cordairo. Victoria's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Claudio Camerino was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. After a rather tough play, Bermejo FC's Raimundo Iztal got a free kick in the 24th minute. After recieving a nice pass, Victoria's Denis Licerio tried to score from far away in the 25th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Maximino Nastasio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Camilo Rufio having to interfere. Victoria's Salvador Justin got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 32nd minute, Honorato Tino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mauricio Tab recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 46 minutes, Salvador Justin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Victoria's supporters crossed their fingers, but Salvador Justin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mauricio Tab was the one to do the kick off. Maximino Nastasio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Camilo Rufio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Claudio Camerino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gustavo Cordairo having to interfere. In the 68th minute, Salvador Justin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Victoria's Gustavo Cordairo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mauricio Tab in the 72nd minute of play. If Maximino Nastasio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Maximino Nastasio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 90th minute Mauricio Tab shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gustavo Cordairo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Bermejo FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
