The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute Clemente Salvadore shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Teofilo Tello saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 4 minutes into the game, Marco Azubeli was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Muxor's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sherpa FC the free kick. A collision led to Muxor getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Marco Azubeli hit a great ball. Marco Azubeli kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. Marcelino Ikatz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Teofilo Tello having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Sherpa FC's Anibal Piarres got a free kick in the 20th minute. The supporters of Sherpa FC booed when Muxor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gervasio Celipe didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eusebio Txurio came free with the goalkeeper in the 28th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Lasse Wiedmann could save by the left post. Eusebio Txurio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Lasse Wiedmann tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Teofilo Tello showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcelino Ikatz, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. Marcelino Ikatz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marco Azubeli struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Lasse Wiedmann didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Muxor. Marcelino Ikatz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Teofilo Tello having to interfere. Anibal Piarres kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. Sherpa FC's Lasse Wiedmann played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gervasio Celipe in the 46th minute of play. When Gervasio Celipe came up free with the goalie in the 48th minute, the Muxor fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gervasio Celipe couldn't finish the play. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gervasio Celipe made a kick off. If Eusebio Txurio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gervasio Celipe took the ball and in the 67 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Lasse Wiedmann. Lasse Wiedmann dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Gervasio Celipe's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lasse Wiedmann read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 71st minute of play. The audience was convinced that Gervasio Celipe's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lasse Wiedmann was relentless in the 75th minute of the game. 76 minutes into the match, Sherpa FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gervasio Celipe came free, but Lasse Wiedmann reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Muxor's Teofilo Tello proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to save Muxor from getting a goal against them. Clemente Salvadore fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Teofilo Tello having to interfere. Muxor's Marco Azubeli got his second yellow card of the match in the 90th minute. The referee ordered Marco Azubeli off the ground. Marco Azubeli hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. Clemente Salvadore blasted a shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Teofilo Tello having to make a save. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Muxor fans cheered their team off the field, for while Sherpa FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
