Spectators: 7208 (Terracing: 5408, Seating: 1657, VIP seats: 143) Ciro Escobar made the kick off and thus started the match. Sopapa y Cotonete FC's Pastor Rencio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ulises Natal in the 4th minute of play. Alonzo Oskarbi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Pastor Rencio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pastor Rencio came out of the goal in the 9th minute to try and stop a shot by Angeles del Interior FC's Delmar Godoy. But to his dismay, Delmar Godoy quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ulises Natal in the 14th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pastor Rencio saved Sopapa y Cotonete FC from getting behind. Delmar Godoy's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pastor Rencio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 17th minute of play. 22 minutes into the match, Ciro Escobar dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Remigio Baumer, 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Delmar Godoy in the 26th minute of play forced Sopapa y Cotonete FC's goalkeeper Pastor Rencio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 28th minute, Ulises Natal made a precise shot to the right of Pastor Rencio. Sopapa y Cotonete FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Pastor Rencio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Delmar Godoy in the 33rd minute of the match. Angeles del Interior FC were awarded a corner in the 36th minute after Sopapa y Cotonete FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Benigno Lico took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Benigno Lico got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Pastor Rencio quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Delmar Godoy in the 37th minute of play forced Sopapa y Cotonete FC's goalkeeper Pastor Rencio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Delmar Godoy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Delmar Godoy made the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute the ball was on its way in behind Angeles del Interior FC's goalkeeper Remigio Baumer, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Delmar Godoy in the 56th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pastor Rencio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ulises Natal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pastor Rencio having to interfere. In the 66th minute, Ariel Irrintzi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Delmar Godoy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ulises Natal recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sopapa y Cotonete FC's Pastor Rencio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Delmar Godoy in the 75th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Sopapa y Cotonete FC's Laureano Curcio got a free kick in the 80th minute. In the 81st minute of the match Benigno Lico sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Pastor Rencio skillfully saved the ball. Ulises Natal's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Pastor Rencio firmly grabbed it by the left post. Ciro Escobar charged in rather forcefully in the 85th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ciro Escobar the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Ciro Escobar kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. Pastor Rencio stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Delmar Godoy's shot from short distance in the 89th minute. Delmar Godoy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Pastor Rencio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pastor Rencio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ulises Natal, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. Angeles del Interior FC's Delmar Godoy got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ciro Escobar might have been able to make a better finish in the 97th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Remigio Baumer. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ciro Escobar ran back to his position shaking his head. The Sopapa y Cotonete FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Angeles del Interior FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Angeles del Interior FC.
