Spectators: 6651 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1650, VIP seats: 1) When Ciro Escobar came up free with the goalie in the 4th minute, the Sopapa y Cotonete FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ciro Escobar couldn't finish the play. After 8 played minutes Poma AFC got a freekick which was hit by Eduardo Quinito. After having played for 9 minutes, Ciro Escobar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sopapa y Cotonete FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ciro Escobar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Sopapa y Cotonete FC booed when Poma AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eduardo Quinito didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ivan Clodio's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pastor Rencio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 21st minute of play. Laureano Curcio kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. Ivan Clodio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Pastor Rencio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ivan Clodio came free with the goalkeeper in the 41st minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Pastor Rencio could save by the left post. Pastor Rencio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jacobo Osorio in the 43rd minute of play. Ciro Escobar's late challenge caught a Poma AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ciro Escobar helped the player get up and apologised. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Ciro Escobar made the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Ciro Escobar managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sopapa y Cotonete FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ciro Escobar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Desiderio Abreu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Joaquin Hanot during the 53rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 54 played minutes Poma AFC got a freekick which was hit by Joaquin Hanot. The crowd rose to their feet as Ciro Escobar kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Desiderio Abreu. That made the score 0-1 in the 57 minute of play. Sopapa y Cotonete FC's Pastor Rencio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jacobo Osorio in the 61st minute of play. Ariel Irrintzi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Poma AFC's Desiderio Abreu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ciro Escobar in the 64th minute of play. Ariel Irrintzi might have been able to make a better finish in the 72nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Desiderio Abreu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ariel Irrintzi ran back to his position shaking his head. After having played for 76 minutes, Joaquin Hanot managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Poma AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joaquin Hanot was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Poma AFC's Jacobo Osorio in the 80th minute got a chance for a shot 80th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Sopapa y Cotonete FC's goalie prevented a goal. Ariel Irrintzi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 83rd minute of the match, but Desiderio Abreu made a huge save. 84 minutes into the match, Jacobo Osorio notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Sopapa y Cotonete FC's Pastor Rencio. Pastor Rencio was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Aristides Policarpio kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. Pastor Rencio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jacobo Osorio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Jacobo Osorio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
