Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Guaberto Laurentzi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Pastor Rencio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ciro Escobar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raul Gines having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Sopapa y Cotonete FC's Laureano Curcio got a free kick in the 38th minute. In the 39th minute of the match Elvio Totakoxe sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Pastor Rencio skillfully saved the ball. Guaberto Laurentzi struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Pastor Rencio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Wessex. Wessex's Raul Gines played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ariel Irrintzi in the 44th minute of play.

The wind increased when Ciro Escobar made the kick off in the second half. Pastor Rencio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Juan Quin, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Guaberto Laurentzi in the 65th minute of play forced Sopapa y Cotonete FC's goalkeeper Pastor Rencio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 67th minute, Ariel Irrintzi ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Raul Gines was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. If Ciro Escobar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After recieving a nice pass, Wessex's Elvio Totakoxe tried to score from far away in the 93rd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Sopapa y Cotonete FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
